fooled..by my laptop

few days ago...some sound came out from my laptop
and i thought it's going to die..
based on my brother's so called "experience"

this is what he told me

Brother : "when got sound den the HDD wan die already lar"
me : "wtf like that 1 meh?now my window live messenger kenot on liao..fire fox kenot save history..y so weird 1 ??"
Brother : "yalar it's normal, it will die just like those old man ma.."
me : "huh?means how?"
Brother : "u see those old man...before they die right..some of their parts will die 1st ma..like eyes kenot see...legs kenot move..hands felt cold..same thing lar"
me : "aiyo..y like that 1..eh when the HDD die that time..the laptop will burst anot?"
Brother : "have u ever see old man burst after he die?of coz won't lar"

i'm so speechless...

so i have no choice but to do backup..but then think again..how the fuck i backup?i don't have external hard disk!!! and all my stuffs in this com are like 40GB..

then i have this "smart" idea..using 1gb thumbdrive to copy slowy..
and it turns out to be a super duper dumb idea..so tiring u know?

after i've done everything..
the sound is still there..and i'm just hoping the HD to die faster so that i can get another com XD

BUT!!Strange thing happened..
2 days after the detection of "cancer" in my laptop..
the sound suddenly went off....
and i tried to run my window live messenger..it's WORKING!!
i tried to save history in my firefox...it's WORKING!!

everything is back to normal...i'm glad to hear that..until....
now
i'm kinda pissed off..
when i do backup...i CUT and Paste, and i didn't have any copy left in this computer..
so now..how do i copy back?
using the old "smart" idea?
omg kill me please..i'm so badly fooled by this blardy laptop
